Artist Statement

I constantly think about space and time and their places in art, much like I think about my place in this infinite universe. I am interested in portraying the unknown in a way that makes the viewer question what they know and believe. My main artistic mediums are watercolor and acrylic. I try to portray the things that are important to me in my work, whether that be music, space, politics, or my many other interests.
Although I’ve been involved with music from an early age, my artistic career otherwise did not begin until college. From a major in the medical field to now having an art degree, I try to bring different perspectives into my pieces and think extensively on how the audience will interpret my art. Like music, fine art is a universal language. More important than standards of good and bad are the passion behind it and the experience gained from it.
All that I do will give me the necessary experience to work successfully in a museum setting. I love seeing others’ work almost more than making my own, and that is what drives my dream to be a museum professional.
